I founded EnergyScapes with the goal of creating beautiful landscapes that benefit people as well as our environment. We design, build and maintain sustainable landscapes focused on locally native plant communities best suited for each site. We work to ensure best winter solar gain, while keeping summer cooling costs to a minimum with proper placement of trees, shrubs and vines. We recently received approval for our trademark from the US Patent Office for our "Green Awnings" that keep south windows cooler in summer, using the cooling power of vines, yet maximizing winter solar gain.
