I have unique capabilities in both Operational Management and Employee Management. In Operational Management, I have been able to integrate technologies and innovation to improve operational outcomes. As Store Manager, I managed 15 different store locations in Southern California, opened 5 new stores, worked in corporate training, and multi store training management. While with Albertsons corporation, I converted a manual inventory and gross margin calculation system into automated systems through the development of software tools in Microsoft Excel. While working for Albertsons corporate, I integrated purchase reports from an Oracle based software system into an extrapolation report showing all purchases for individual stores and their vendors. This process when shared with store management teams helped to reduce double payments, eliminate payments to incorrect vendors, and verify open invoices for over 700 stores throughout the country. I completed these new innovative processes within the first 3 months of beginning my corporate position. When evaluating my Employee Management skills, one would find that I am a charismatic leader. I would make a point of reinforcing proper behaviors 60% of my time and correcting behaviors 40% of the time. Each of these management interactions included documentation which was included in the associates personnel file. By following this simple process on a daily basis, employees were motivated to obtain praise but were also aware that I was watching to make constant improvements to the business. The emphasis on the positive, reinforced positive outcomes and moved the business forward while correcting substandard behaviors did the same. In a classroom environment I treat all of my students like managers (what they want to become), never like a student. This emphasis on the outcome and the development of superior standards; developes outstanding student outcomes.
