I am currently a senior at the University of Delaware with a major in Medical Diagnostics and minor in Community Engagement. I believe it is crucial to bring local communities together in order to provide stability and an enjoyable life. I am additionally interested in the most complex and important machine, the human body.This curiosity has led me into researching if higher dietary potassium helps to offset the persistent American consumption of sodium through examining vascular function and sleep.Meanwhile, my desire to improve communities guided me to Newark Food Bank, UDance (a non profit for children affected with cancer), and Lori's Hands. Upon realizing the importance of providing care, I became a CNA and worked overnight weekends during university. I now seek the opportunity to combine my interest in medicine with the ability to directly improve communities health. Therefore, I am seeking entrance into medical school to pursue rural practice through primary care.
