In this position I am responsible for the strategic direction of Causeway's social businesses and social finance initiatives as it fits within the overall organization's direction. Acting as a member of the management team, the role of Social Business and Supported Employment Program Manager is to:Develop and supervise all the functions of the Causeway social businesses under management including financial forecasting, budgeting & reporting, marketing, legal requirements, risk management, operations, liaising with partners & funders and material & human resources.This position is designed to strategically plan, schedule, coordinate, implement, evaluate supervise and in every way to manage all the duties and responsibilities of staff in the Supported Employment Programs. This role requires tactful skills to negotiate, manage and administer the service agreements with all ministry and community partners.

To date, Canada has lagged behind other developed countries in the creation and implementation of public policies which foster an enabling market space for impact investing. As a result the market for impact investing in Canada remains nascent, ad hoc, and with limited opportunity for scale and scope. While there have been calls for broad reforms to enhance the social finance and impact investing landscape in Canada, my project 'Enhancing the Space for Impact Investing in Canada: Examining the Potential of Equity-Tax Credits' will work to highlight the case for Canadian policy-makers to explore an incremental approach augmenting existing policy mechanisms, notably an equity-tax credit program, which leverages existing tax and regulatory frameworks in effort to encourage new capital for impact generation.
