The John M. Belk Impact Fellowship is a 10-month (August-May), paid program that provides hands-on experience for students currently enrolled in community college, undergraduate, or graduate programs in North Carolina. Building on the success of the John M. Belk Scholarship program, and the belief that talent is universal but opportunity is not, the Fellowship serves as a training ground for future generations of social impact leaders. To gain exposure to the inner workings of organizations playing a variety of critical roles across North Carolina’s education landscape, Fellows could be placed at organizations such as nonprofits, education systems and institutions, and philanthropy.

The Carolina College Advising Corps aims to help low-income, first-generation, and under-represented students from North Carolina attend college by placing recent UNC-Chapel Hill graduates as college advisers in selected public high schools throughout the state. Advisers assist students with admission, financial aid, and scholarship applications.

Supervise and mentor first-year residents in their first year here at the university. In charge of monthly program and budget to educate and connect residents in their halls. Furthermore, responsible for resolving interpersonal conflicts, misconduct and overall welfare of my residents. Design flyers and distribute them to residents.

Managed overall committee of TEDxUNC by facilitating communication between committees (e.g., multimedia, graphics, logistics, marketing, etc.), setting deadlines for committees and resolving conflicts between committees. Designed some of the flyers for various purposes. In charge of curating the 2018 TEDxUNC Conference called Colorwheel.

Assisted graduate student in research about methods for Prejudice Intervention. Created codebooks and coded videos for prejudice intervention behavior. Responsible for managing the data of all the participants according to confidential and privacy policies in Social Science Research.

In charge of incubating and launching ideas surrounding the problems with socioeconomic problems. Managed a small committee that planned and executed small ideas that raised awareness about the socioeconomic disparities on campus. Edited the photos and added the logo in the corner.
