I bring a wealth of experience to Armstrong Watson after spending 35 years in the profession, 25 of which are at Partner level, initially with Scott & Paterson and then in Baker Tilly's Edinburgh office, with the last 9 years with Armstrong Watson.My main expertise is looking after Owner Managed and Family Businesses over a range of sectors but with a particular focus on the Professions and Agriculture. This includes Board Advisory work and encouraging clients to focus on strategy in their businesses. Recent focus is on growth and succession planning and managing client/bank relationships given the difficult current economic environment.I also bring key specialisms to complement the existing Armstrong Watson offering with experience in Audit, Commercial/Fiscal Valuation services, Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support work.I am delighted to be part of an ambitious and progressive firm with excellence of client service as one of its core values, matching my own personal aspirations. I view Armstrong Watson as having a strong brand and excellent growth potential in the north of England but have personal ambitions to assist growth in a Scottish context with particular reference to South-West Scotland, Glasgow and beyond.
