The program continues today with over 100K participants the 2018/2019 flu season.• Worked with senior leadership to improve how patient care coordination and veteran services could be more effectively be delivered through VA and non-VA health care providers, community organizations, care givers and family members.• Developed the concept, then implemented the first-of-its-kind Veterans Administration’s national immunization program enabling veterans to receive no-cost flu shots at over 8,000 Walgreens locations.• Initiated and managed strategic partnerships with Walgreens executive management.• Led cross-functional VA team of policy-makers, clinicians, engineers and managers. • Enabled third parties for the first time to transmit health records into the permanent VA health record and enable the automatic resolution of patient clinical reminders.

Founded and launched TheCarrot.com, an award‐winning mobile and online service to help providers manage post discharge care, chronic care and patient self‐management. TheCarrot.com was clinically validated to improve outcomes.

Worked with industry, government, and academic experts to identify the opportunities and barriers to the adoption of wireless health technologies. The mHealth task force has identified over 20 concrete recommendations to foster the broad adoption of mobile health technology. The recommendations also examine how Federal agencies should increase collaboration to promote innovation, avoid regulatory duplication and build upon existing programs to expand broadband access for health care.
