About Douglas Trein

I graduated from Ohio University with a BA in Communications (Digital Arts and Media) with a focus on video game development. During my four years there, I developed several student projects and showcased them in the annual Student Creative Expo. I slowly began to transition to media jobs with a focus on website and community development. Immediately after graduation, I joined Wikia as a member of their Community Development in August 2012. I spent six years at the company, beginning as a contracted Associate and ending as a Sr. Community Development Representative. I worked extensively across their wiki network in content, design, editorial, and community management.In September 2019, I began working at Pearson Education as a Customer Success Representative in the Higher Education space. I worked closely with educators across the country to help strengthen their understanding of digital courseware. I provided onboarding and technical support and met regularly with purchase stakeholders to maximize their impact with Pearson tools.In April 2022, I joined Amplify as a Customer Success Specialist - Team Lead. I directly manage 3 to 5 full time employees and/or contractors the Midwest, Northeast, and International business regions.. Outside of my professional life, I spend time developing indie visual novel projects under the moniker Basileus. We released our first visual novel, Romance of Raskya, on March 27th, 2021. I am an avid music collector, live music fan, and love to travel.
