Leading the procurement, warehousing, logistics functions and reinvigorating the Lean initiative for Milbank Manufacturing. A focus for the Lean journey will be to identify and implement significant cost savings for manufacturing and business processes. This will leverage my Lean Six Sigma certifications and experiences to achieve and sustain the improvements.The larger and more complex opportunities will be organized as Breakthough projects. They will be developed through improvement events, while establishing a Lean Continuous Improvement culture. This is enabled with outstanding and dedicated teams in manufacturing, supply chain, human resources, engineering, finance and sales along with strong support from the top management, consultants, the family and Board of Directors. This is a multi-year journey to lead establishment of a Lean culture and to sustain these improvement processes.The supply chain will continue to find improvement opportunities to establish alternative suppliers in the US, Mexico, India and other locations to mitigate risk and optimize our structure and value. The cost savings implemented include freight contracts, bid boards, logistics network design, consolidated distribution warehousing and new qualified suppliers. The closed projects had savings of more than $7 million. The project portfolio included critical raw materials, footprint optimizations, partnering for site utilities and plant process optimizations with additional annual savings of more than $5 million.

Vice President - Global operations covering 5 locations - Pectin with production and raw material processing plants in Mexico and Czech Republic and Locust Bean Gum with production in Spain. Engineering and Manufacturing Technology groups in the US and Europe. Supply Planning teams in the US, Mexico and Denmark. A total of 12 direct reports with more than 50 engineering and scientists in the group and overall more than 500 in all the production and technical sites.

Global Operations responsibilities for up to 6 food ingredient production locations and 9 direct reports. Full supply chain accountability of raw material procurement, production, supply chain and planning, final blending, warehousing, logistics and supply to customers. The products were Pectin in Mexico and Czech Republic, Carrageenan in Chile and Scotland and Locust Bean Gum in Spain and Portugal with production and raw material processing. The supply planning was located in the US, Mexico and Denmark and regional blending in the US, Mexico, Europe and China.

Developed new opportunities for potential acquisitions, alliances and joint ventures, including identification, screening, due diligence and negitiations. The focus was in China for food ingredient products such as Carrageenan, Alginates, Pectin, CMC and Xanthan Gum.

Supply Chain Manager for Textural Ingredeints on a global basis. This included Carrageenan in Chile, Alginates in France, Pectin in Mexico and Czech Republic, LBG in Spain and multiple products in Grindsted, Denmark.

Managed the Engineering and Maintenance group with projects for Emulsifiers, Systems blends and Flavors in New Centry, KS and St. Joseph, MO in the US.

Project Engineer for Emulsifier production in New Century, KS with projects including a new Spray Chilling tower and packaging facility and an Ammonia Refrigeration System to support the Emulsifier production.
