I'm Douglas Wagner, a passionate Mechanical Engineering student at UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul) with a fervent drive for innovation and problem-solving. My journey engineering related began very soon with the passion for mathematics which made me choose to take a technical course in mechanics at Fundação Liberato - Novo Hamburgo, where I honed my skills and passion for mechanics.My knack for numbers propelled me to win multiple medals in mathematics olympiads. Eager to share my knowledge, I served as a volunteer mathematics monitor at the Liberato, nurturing and helping young minds in the intricacies of mathematics.In 2018, my dedication to research led me to clinch the third position in mechanical engineering at MOSTRATEC with a project developed during my technical mechanics course. Fuelled by my love for projects, I actively contributed to my school's robotics group, where I developed robots together with my colleagues to participate in school Olympiads.My professional journey started with an enriching internship at Braskem, in the dynamic equipments maintenance sector. There, I immersed myself in various maintenance concepts, learned new techniques and developed group work skills.Currently, I'm deepening my knowledge in Mechanical Engineering at UFRGS. Alongside my academic pursuits, I actively contributed to the mechanical academic center, as a member of the academic sector. Additionally, I'm proud to have been part of the university Baja SAE team, initially as a powertrain member, then as powertrain leader and now as project manager. Furthermore, my passion for research led me to embark on a scientific initiation scholarship at Lamef, where I contributed to groundbreaking projects in the submarine technology area. In addition, during my graduation time I spent one year in Germany conducting cutting-edge research at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon in the field of FSW (Friction Stir Welding), focusing on high-impact projects for the aerospace industry.I'm driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a fervent desire to push the boundaries of innovation in the field of mechanical engineering.
