The Brigade's mission was to enable Afghan Security Forces and the district and municipal governments to defeat insurgent Taliban forces, secure the people, build effective government institutions, and facilitate economic growth. Specifically supervised the Brigade's Stability Operations (Governance and Economic Development), Communicating (Public Affairs and Information Operations), Targeting Process, Detainee Operations, and Investigations.

Fort Sill, Oklahoma

Led a battalion of 500 Soldiers at Fort Sill, OK. Trained the battalion to proficiency in delivery of artillery fires with M109A6 (155mm) Paladin howitzers. Trained and prepared Soldiers for non-standard deployments to Iraq as Q36 radar sections and a Target Acquisition Battery.
