Responsible for day-to-day account management of numerous employee benefit clients under a team concept. Assisted in creation of plan documents and enrollment, as well as customer service issues with carriers. AFG - now known as Associated Business & Risk Consulting - was a wonderful place to work and I am fortunate to have a number of my former co-workers still as friends and colleagues. But, as one of therm said to me, "you're a salesman.." So when the opportunity in a sales role at Aurora Health Care developed, I left to accept a position which was a better fit for me.

I owned and operated an employee benefits focused independent agency, initially in West Allis and later in the Mukwonago area, for 17 years. As a sole proprietor, I was responsible for all aspects of my agency's business operations including strategic planning and marketing.I did all aspects of the prospecting and sales process as well as all post-sale account management. I was consistently regarded by my clients and peers as being highly committed to outstanding customer service and ethical behavior, I always acted as a staunch advocate for our clients resulting in many long-term relationships.By 2013, the ever-growing impact of the ACA and increased competition from larger agencies forced me to come to the decision to close/sell my book of business and explore other, more secure, opportunities.

Wrote Annual Reports, Physician Recruiting videos and print materials as well as marketing brochure copy. Consistently outpaced sales projections. Annual Reports won awards for design. Handled groups 100+ including many national brand accounts. Completed RFPs, did presentations, coordinated meetings and met with C-Level clients as well as handling client employee concerns. Routinely had high marks from client surveys and peers on my sales and customer service performance.
