* Architected, developed, and managed a new product for Nolo.com to move a large inventory of legal documents in RTF format into interactive web forms in order to compete with industry leaders such as RocketLawyer.com and LegalZoom.com.* Built a back-end interface that gave lawyers the ability to author complex documents, containing both looping data structures and conditional logic without teaching them to write programs. Ensured document output met strict legal requirements for formatting and output to various formats including PDF, FDF, RTF and HTML.* Built a team of 3-6 people, wrote documentation, and created a training process for the all systems composing the new product. Estimated and delegated all tasks, trained all team members, and reviewed all code submitted to the project.

* Managed software development teams totaling 30 developers (including 4 off-shore developers) and oversaw all development for the automotive eCommerce vertical as well as the ApartmentRatings.com family of sites and other smaller java systems. * Proposed, created and managed an internship program designed to recruit graduating and recently graduated college students from local schools and help them grow into high-quality developers. Ramping the program from 4 positions up to 16 and hired 27% of the interns into full-time positions.* Reported directly to the CTO and met regularly with senior technology management to shape company-wide technical direction. Met regularly with the COO, CMO and various VP and SVP business owners to provide technical insight to both short- and long-term business objectives and help plan and prioritize new projects.

* Managed developer workload for a team of 3-5 developers, ensured projects were completed in a timely manner, created a system for ensuring code was reviewed, attended business meetings to manage high level product requirements, and either architected or oversaw the architecture of all automotive projects.

* Significantly contributed to the creation of two major systems: an automotive lead-allocation system and a lead fulfillment system. Led the creation of two further large systems: a customer service application to help ensure lead quality and a wholesale platform that allowed the company to streamline its lead buying relationships.

* Developed an editorial content management system in Java and ported years of static HTML files into a more traditional Oracle database.
