Currently at The Old Globe, he serves as Associate Director of Philanthropy where he oversees an annual giving and operations team of five and special events staff of 10 who execute between 50-100 events per year. Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy, he strategizes on maximizing contributed revenue through the Globe’s many channels of fundraising and leveraging the talents of a robust fundraising team to support the Globe’s approximately $35M budget.Prior to coming to the Globe, he developed expertise in both operations and individual giving, serving as Associate Director of Philanthropy for San Diego REP and Individual Giving Officer at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA.Over the 12 years he lived in LA, he worked primarily as a theatre director and fight choreographer on productions across southern California, ranging from the 99-seat Theatre of NOTE in Hollywood to Center Theatre Group’s 739-seat Mark Taper Forum in downtown. He founded and served as Artistic Director for Drive Theatre Company, which produced and developed new plays and adaptations for five years. A few of the many playwrights he developed new work with included Steve Yockey (HBO’s “The Flight Attendant”), June Carryl, Howard Ho, and Amy Tofte. He was the winner of the Kennedy Center’s ACTF Directing Fellowship, a finalist for the O’Neill’s National Directors Fellowship, and a StageRaw nominee for his fight choreography on Tearrance Arvelle Chisholm’s Br’er Cotton. He also spent 10 seasons producing Directors Lab West at Pasadena Playhouse and a year and a half teaching combat and movement for actors at New York Film Academy.He's the lucky husband of Courtney, and proud father of Renley and Isla.
