Doug followed a career as a business psychologist with business management and boardroom experience as an executive director. He had a background in consultancy and particular expertise in the evaluation and development of senior executives, leadership transition (on-boarding), and career management. As a proven executive coach he helped business executives to improve their performance and business contribution, and to make effective transitions as they moved into new, more demanding roles. He managed two career consulting businesses and used his considerable knowledge of outplacement to successfully help professionals, managers and executives find a suitable alternative role in the shortest possible time. He has also helped individuals effectively progress their careers by either changing direction or by gaining a more senor position. He managed consultancy assignments for major clients in the areas of leadership and executive development, identification and growth of talent, and organisation and management development. He worked in the USA, Middle East, Far East and throughout Europe, and dealt with a range of cross-cultural issues.
