I lead a dedicated team responsible for our flagship product, Gateway, comprising over 50 developers, 20 testers, scrum masters, and product owners. Together with my DevOps team, we deliver Azure-based cloud services to our multinational partners.Since Gateway's inception in 2018, I've overseen its entire development lifecycle, from design and coding to ensuring adherence to agile methodologies and DevOps processes. We stay ahead of the curve by adopting technologies like Github Copilot, enabling us to continuously enhance our solutions. As co-founder of GoShow Ltd, we are building a marketplace application for action sports enthusiasts worldwide to get their raw footage edited by the most talented editors anywhere. Our designs make use of solid technical solutions including Amazon Web Services for storage and transcoding, as well as integration with Vimeo and YouTube for increased content sharing of our editor's talents.

Migrated Telereal's web applications to Microsoft Azure as part of a successful transformation project to move them from local hosting to cloud. Restructuring and leading the dev team provided a good opportunity to improve the teams' processes and skillsets.

In my role as lead developer/technical architect at Ralph Lauren, I have worked on several projects including a retail/wholesale planning WPF/WCF/SQL Server application which pushed the boundaries of the technology and also of the IT department. I also managed both local and offshore development teams, whilst assisting with the gathering of requirements from key stakeholders in Geneva and translating them into appropriate level technical specs. This has also lead me to a good understanding of the retail/wholesale business as a whole.The particular project uses a large SQL database holding around a terrabyte of data requiring very complex queries and performance tuning. We also pull data from many other external sources requiring a detailed knowledge of SSIS packages. Developing the www.kumuka.com website including the backend database and e-commerce solutions. Also responsible for managing other developers as part of the team.

Designing and teaching the various .NET training courses for Training Camp (now Firebrand Training) UK and US. During this time I trained hundreds of developers taking them from sometimes quite inexperienced to being able to pass Microsoft exams during intensive 14 day bootcamp style courses.

Developing official Microsoft courseware including over 5 courses for .NET and 2 courses for SQL Server. This role meant working closely with Microsoft Seattle on pre-release software such as the very first release of VB.NET and SQL Server 2000. This also led to presenting at Microsoft MSDN Roadshows around the UK for several years to audiences of hundreds of developers.

Teaching and creating courses for Microsoft technologies such as VB6 and Microsoft .NET teaching hundreds of developers from basic to advanced level practices.

Developing an oil trading system using Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and SQL Server 6.5/7 for a large oil trading company in London. I was also involved in training existing developers with the skills required to build the software.

Initially as a software developer using n-tier architecture with VB6, SQL Server and DCOM. The postion then moved on to team leading 5 other developers as well as continuing the building of insurance systems using the described technologies.
