As a clinician I specialize in supporting neurodivergent adolescents and adults (gifted, 2E, Autism, VAST/ADHD) and their families. I am an LMFT in California and Registered Drama Therapist/Board Certified Trainer with the North American Drama Therapy Association. Additionally, I am an Assistant Professor and Core Faculty in the Counseling Psychology M.A. Drama Therapy Program at California Institute of Integral Studies. As an academic, I teach both theory and praxis courses at CIIS. My study and research has been focused on fostering resilience through dramatic play, applications of archetypal/symbolic storytelling with embodied play, therapeutically applied role-play games, and integrating monster theory, shadow work, and drama therapy. A recent area of study is exploring varieties of exceptional/anomalous phenomenon and supporting experiencers in integrating these realities. As the founder and lead facilitator of Gamescape Center for Creativity and Growth, I co-create and produce pro-social events that engage neurodiverse teens, fostering a community united by a shared appreciation for the inherent value of gaming and role-play. Inspired my previous experience as a screenwriter (HBO's Tales from the Crypt), I created and facilitate the Monster Movie Salon, a series which combines multi-modal expressive arts and drama therapy with film appreciation toward exploring the intersection between our cultural shadow and personal shadow.
