Led development of the organizations public and rural land use policies, coordinated land conservation efforts, and managed organizations efforts in Kittitas County. Served as key voice in articulating organization’s vision through a leadership transition and coordinated with NGOs and federal, tribal, state, and local governments to develop solutions towards a common coalition vision, including managing a federal National Heritage Area designation campaign.• Coordinated drafting of federal legislation and led it through committee hearings in DC.• Worked with Kittitas County community to develop long-term vision for growth and access to public lands, helped community prioritize efforts and begin to build capacity to achieve their vision.• Coordinated efforts to conserve numerous parcels of land into public ownership.

Managed relations with 100+ partner agencies and organizations and coordinated coalition efforts on public land acquisition, rural land use, and ecological and recreation enhancements. Oversaw organizational stewardship programs. Developed campaign to gain federal National Heritage Area status for the Greenway. Had broad involvement across most aspects of the organization, including policy/coalition, fundraising, communications, and administrative arenas. Provided strategic advice to program areas across organization and to partner organizations. Led organization’s 20-year strategic planning effort.• Developed National Heritage Area designation effort, led feasibility study engaging over 1,000 stakeholders in 140+ meetings, resulting in NPS approved study and federal legislation sponsored by state delegation.• Coordinated efforts to conserve over 25,000 acres of land into public ownership, working closely with King County, State DNR, TPL, Forterra, and multiple cities. • Developed new organization program to focus on rural land use, recreation and agriculture in Snoqualmie Valley.

Developed 20-person outdoor recreation and ecological restoration program, including year-round conservation corps crews, design/planning staff to build trails, trailheads, and ecological restoration projects. Established cross-landscape coalitions and planning efforts with public agencies and nonprofits to better integrate stewardship efforts. Developed organizational expertise in designing, fundraising, and implementing public land enhancement projects, including some of most iconic trails in Seattle region.• Led growth of program from one to twenty staff members.• Raised over $35,000,000 in direct funding from federal, state, and local sources, including leading advocacy effort in Olympia that raised $18,000,000 in direct legislative appropriations.• Influenced government appropriations to direct an additional $50,000,000 to coalition priorities.

Began organizational efforts to coordinate NGO and citizen stewardship of public lands newly acquired in east King County. • Launched award-winning logging road obliteration program in partnership with King County Metro, which to date has decommissioned over 80 miles of logging roads in King County.• Visualized and coordinated “200,000 Trees in 2000” tree planting campaign in partnership with King County Parks, National Tree Trust, American Forests, and EarthCorps. Raised $350,000 for program. • Solely coordinated over 500 volunteer events completing ecological restoration, park cleanups, and trail enhancements and developed partnerships with WTA, EarthCorps, King County, and others
