About Doug Senso, P.E.

Contact me at doug.senso@rasmith.com or (920) 843-5731. I currently serve as a Senior Project Manager for raSmith’s Transportation Division. I am also the Appleton office lead. My projects include urban and rural roadways, intersection improvements, roundabouts, and roadway corridor and planning studies. I provide quality control reviews and mentor staff. My clients include the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), counties, cities, villages and towns. Occasionally, I work with our Site Design Services Division on roadway improvements for owner’s representatives and private developers, especially when coordination with state or local governments is required.One of my strengths is guiding local municipalities through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Local Program roadway design process. I have worked closely with WisDOT, APWA and other local government stakeholders to develop and streamline this program and its processes. I am also recognized by WisDOT as a Qualified Roundabout Designer (QRD). I have presented at APWA, NSPE-WI and ITE conferences on roundabouts, successful projects and the WisDOT Local Program. I am a member of NSPE-WI and a Board Member of the Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin (EFW). EFW is definitely a passion on mine as this volunteer organization manages and awards college scholarships to deserving Wisconsin high school students. I also am involved with ACEC-WI and am a member of the Pavement Engineers Users Group as one of the two consultant representatives.
