After 5 decades at Columbia Artists, finally serving as Chair of the Board, Doug Sheldon founded Sheldon Artists LLC which agency he now leads. He states "I am passionately committed to a life in music, believing in its power to communicate the greatest emotions and to bring together people of all backgrounds."Mr. Sheldon has represented artists and ensembles as disparate as Alexis Weissenberg, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Beaux Arts Trio, Boston Symphony, Boys Choir of Harlem, Denis Matsuev, Grace Bumbry, Jaap van Zweden, Khatia Buniatishvili, Leonard Slatkin, London Symphony, Mariinsky Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, China Philharmonic, Orchestre National de France, Salzburg Marionettes, Teresa Berganza and Valery Gergiev. He brought to the US The Salzburg Marionettes, the Insula Orchestra's staged Haydn "Creation" and Teatro Reggio's concert version of "William Tell". Other than Mutter and Simone Lamsma, he has worked with Leonid Kogan, Vadim Repin, and Vladimir Spivakov.
