During the actual competition I support specialty chiefs and do some ad-hoc trouble shooting to help ensure the event runs smoothly.

I led the product engineering team to near-completion of the packaging and advanced systems engineering of a PHEV light commercial van and variants. Ensured product direction was established while balancing market, function and business objectives. Orchestrated the establishment of an IDDOV-oriented product creation system.

Completed adaptation engineering of chassis systems for a OEM minivan conversion into a PHEV configuration meeting all FMVSS and durability performance requirements established by the OEM.

I developed chassis systems feasibility for a mid-size, plug-in electric sedan. Established supplier contacts and system feasibility for suspension, tires and electric powered steering. Developed benchmarking activities for vehicle dynamics and NVH and had projects placed with engineering services companies.

I was responsible for the chassis engineering activities for Chrysler's study of how to reinvent its midsize sedans and crossovers. The chassis team developed and initiated a complete DFSS-type workplan prior to project cancellation.

I was responsible for all chassis engineering activities on the minivan product team, followed by the truck product team. Under my guidance the chassis teams improved quality, reduced product costs and designed, developed and launched many all-new chassis systems.

Driver and team manager/engineer for independant and factory-sponsored team efforts, garnering 7 national championships.
