Led the architecture and development of an Enterprise Technology project using best practices in the disciplines of integration and business process management.Designed, architected, managed, and developed a mission-critical BPM application using Bizagi for an industry-leading healthcare company. Developed best practices around business process design, reusability, security, and integration standards. Helped to define training and mentorship programs for developers new to BPM and Bizagi. Worked closely with Bizagi management and product groups to meet unique requirements identified by the client. This project culminated in a seamless and issueless production deployment.Performed all aspects of BPM/SOA Analysis and Design. Gathered requirements for all Integration and workflow projects using Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle BPM Suite. Created architecture design for all SOA activities. Managed project plans for a diverse IT team, with architects and developers in multiple locations (New York, London, Zurich, India). Led best practice design and implementation efforts for integration and workflow projects. Led meetings with stakeholders to many expectations around project delivery. Advised the core development team on various development topics, such as continuous delivery, SOA best practices, BPM best practices, and re-usability best practices.Led integration pilot using the Mulesoft Anypoint platform. Developed a framework integrating various applications including Gensight Cloud Service, Oracle EBS, and Oracle Trade ManagementArchitected and developed an Oracle BPM solution for a pharmaceutical company. This project made extensive use of Human Workflow and a highly customized ADF User Interface. Converted a 2-week manual process to an automated one that took 4 days.

Ran all IT functions for both Side Show and Planet Shoes. Oversight duties include Side Show’s advanced eCommerce architecture. Introduced Project Management Methodologies and Tooling. Devised a standards-based integration architecture for Side Show and Planet Shoes based on the Mulesoft Anypoint platform. Managed all vendor partnerships, including extensive use of Amazon Web Services. Responsible for all P&L metrics. Developed fulfillment process models using the Bizagi BPM platform.

Ran all aspects of the Technology business for Apps Associates. Oversight duties included sales, delivery, application best practices as well as financial oversight of the business. The Technology practice was widely recognized as a thought leader during this tenure. Partnerships included Oracle, JBoss, Salesforce and Mulesoft.Technologies utilized in the Apps Associates Technology portfolio included Java, BPM, SOA, Portal and security. The team helped several clients create solutions to their business problems through the use of technology.Participated as a member of the management team, helping to set key objectives and directions for Apps Associates. The Technology practice consistently achieved the greatest profit margins in the entire company.Managed the company’s onshore/offshore model. The team comprised of 12 onshore and 50+ offshore resources.

Doug holds various thought-leadership positions at Oracle, including representing Oracle Consulting on the BPM/SOA and Enterprise 2.0 Leaders Boards. Doug has a diverse background which includes deep technical expertise and an ability to discuss technology value in business terms with executives of all levels.

As CTO, spearheaded technology direction and implementation for Newsalert and sister company Comhill Systems. These companies produce approximately 20 million dollars in revenue annually. As CTO, have direct oversight of 25 people.
