2010 - 2012 ~2 yrs

Vice President- Information Technology

Cbay Systems And Services, Inc.

Provide strategic direction to the Network Infrastructure, the Interface, Application Support and Software Development Teams. The foremost focus of this role was to be a proactive change agent for the organization; as well as, to prepare the company for ISO certification by pursuing a documentation process. Reorganization of the staff was fundamental to increasing efficiencies. This lead to a second phase of implementing best in class processes which included documentation, redundancy planning for both the application and hardware that runs the CBay platforms and moving the development teams to monthly maintenance release schedules. I consolidated the Application Support Staff to be a single point of contact that handles all of the platforms to achieve an overall reduction in full time equivalent of three people; saving the company roughly $120,000 yearly. My contributions have been instrumental in growing CBay’s product offerings. This is evident with two vendor relationships recently negotiated to bring dramatic new features to our existing palate. These affiliations assisted with the redesign of the total platform with next generation technology. We have entered into a distributor relationship with IQMAX which enabled us to offer a comprehensive PDA solution to our clients. Though this is not a revolutionary change in our industry, the difference is the unique relationship with the vendor. We are the first company to have the vendor design a two day training course for us, moving toward a seamless implementation of the product line while allowing the vendor to have no contact with the end user. This is a complete paradigm shift in the vendor’s process. Parallel with this paradigm shift, I have administered the migration to two new data centers leading the toward a true redundant business continuity environment. The team are in the preliminary stages of redesigning the document storage and delivery method to be Clinic Document Architecture (CDA) compliant.
