I have had the wonderful fortune of working with and leading some amazing marketers over 25 years and has tried to learn something from all of them. I like to figure out how to make complex things clear and simple, so I've mostly worked for software, technology, and consulting companies. I've been focused on and fascinated with healthcare technology marketing for the past 15 years, with previous long stints marketing financial services, network security, and nuclear engineering and consulting. (My dad has a Ph.D. in nuclear physics. Needless to say the apple rolled away from the tree a little bit.)I launched Block & Tackle Marketing in 2006 to help clients understand and captivate their markets. I relaunched it in 2016 with the same mission. For many years in between I served as VP of marketing for Care Logistics and VP and general manager of Patient Placement Systems, filling sales pipelines and helping a smart team turn a struggling startup into a profitable business. I previously worked as marketing director for Trusted Network Technologies, part of a terrific team that won both the Marketing Award for Excellence (MAX Award) and Technology Association of Georgia TAMY award for marketing excellence. I spent my early career as a marketer for S1 Corp., Premiere Global Services and NAC International.
