Responsibilities:Work with customers on design, costing and production of millwork for the food service industry and other businesses Research, specify and order raw materials for end productWork cooperatively with architects, site supervisors and franchisee owner to develop and implement store layout and designResponsible for drafting individual components for architect approval and production processesProcess store layout into production documents and blueprintsApprove prototypes and work in concert with production to troubleshoot and improve design of end productEnsure continued profitability for the company by evaluating actual costs and sale prices

Design, estimate and implement point-of-purchase displays using AutoCad 2005, Excel, Microsoft Word, ACCPAC and other tooling programsEstimate rate of returns for several large and small machines used in the production processWork cooperatively with graphic designers and product designers to develop, value, package and present customers with quotations and termsResearch and test CNC tooling for various materials and applicationsResearch and recommend new vendors for all materials used in product productionRecruit, train and supervise drafters, CNC programmers and design laboratory employeesDesign and purchase all dies used in production for die cuttingMaintain and update vendor relationshipsResearch and recommend new production and CNC toolingMaintain production and CNC tooling equipment

Design and implement quality control standards for entire departmentResponsible for quality control of all parts producedMaintain and implement maintenance schedule for injection molding machinesSupervise all employees on shift
