Design Director

Bremerton, Washington, United States

I started a company in Bremerton, Washington where I served nitro cold brew coffee. As a designer, I took the opportunity to design every aspect of the business - from the initial branding to the coffee truck itself. I had the truck shipped from China and personally fitted it out with everything needed to serve nitro cold brew from the street. I named the company "Walnut" after the rare walnut tree in my backyard. Our campaign was all about creating the smoothest cup of coffee possible, and we had a lot of fun sharing that goal with the community. People came from all around to try our brew, which we offered in cans as well as on tap. We attend all the hip local events with our truck, Wallie.Walnut started while we lived in NYC and was born once we moved to Bremerton. For our first day we released this video.Wallie was designed by me and built in China. We shipped him over to be fitted with branding and all of the needed parts to meet regulations and serve yummy nitro cold brew. To make Wallie a success I relied heavily on my past experience with manufacturing and shipping products from China.Of course all of the branding was done by me including all of the sourcing and business administration. I am the CEO and clerk; the barista and lead designer. For marketing I made 20 versions of stickers, magnets, and keychains which we gave out all over town. I created two merch shirts and two merch hats so far, which sold out.

Design Director

Vinta Supply Co.

New York, New York, United States

Vinta is a project that was started by a friend who needed help with branding and creating new products. I was brought on to handle the design, branding, art direction, and development of new products. We were approached by Cam Newton who wanted to collaborate with Vinta, he later joined the company as an advisor and influencer. I art directed two photoshoots with Cam. As the pandemic hit, Vinta decided to pivot and develop a helpful solution, the RS-1. For the three and a half years I worked at Vinta, I designed two complete company rebranding packages, five new products with accompanying branding and packaging, and numerous email campaigns and photoshoots. As the Design Director of a startup focused on high-end design, I consistently designed every aspect and then redesigned it to stay fresh. Below is our original vintage style design. With this branding I looked to combine a vintage feel with the functionality of modern life. Our next phase was contemporary, experimental and bold, below is our entire branding guidelines designed and put together by me. Vinta needed a new look to match the clientele it was now reaching with the new products I designed. Making this was a thrill because I had worked with Vinta for a long time at this point and it was the accomplishment of many years of goals.

Graft Milk is a company that produces 3D printing filament with an emphasis on aesthetics. Myself and a friend, who are both 3D printing enthusiasts, started the company as we were unable to find the colors and finishes we desired. We knew that the filament's appearance needed to be visually appealing in order to attract our target market. I was responsible for designing and creating everything for the company including the website, product, packaging, Kickstarter, logo, branding, motion graphics, and any other necessary materials. However, due to the shipping crisis brought on by COVID-19, we were forced to close down the business as container prices increased dramatically. Though we are closed, I still receive calls from customers who are running out of our filament stock.Video, graphics, transitions, 3D modeling, interview, everything done by me, staring me. I learned a lot with Graft Milk and launched a business with huge success and industry appreciation. My first line was loved by artists. Below shows the video we did for the Launch of the Kickstarter. The color and branding development of Graft Milk was up to me, this was a large challenge as our mission statement was to be a unique and artistic version of a 3D printing filament and we needed it to look and feel like an artist collective. The first run of filaments had 10 colors, all with a matte finish. Graft Milk pioneered the matte finish on 3D printing filament, with our manufacturer and their chemist, we worked to find the correct balance of matte and function.During the beginning of the pandemic I was living in Manhattan. Graft Milk joined the fight to make personal protective equipment (PPE) for nurses and doctors. Customers all over started sending me huge boxes full of PPE to go with our donation of printed materials. We donated many kilograms of filament and weeks of our time. Later I designed and gave out models of our no-contact tools to keep people safe as they ventured onto the streets.

While working at Lucas, our small studio was commissioned to do many high-end homes in Washington, California, Idaho, and New Zealand. We all worked closely together and each designer was involved in every part of the design process. We did all interior spaces including interior architecture and often the exterior as well. I worked for Lucas for nearly 3 years, I started as an intern while earning my degree, then quickly moved to full time once I graduated. My first job as an interior designer was the perfect opportunity to learn it all. I was heavily involved in a 3 member design team where I managed and designed multiple high end residential projects simultaneously. I also brought digital rendering to the firm with my SketchUp skills. We conceptualized and sketched all digitally. The below images show only a small number of the projects I worked on while at Lucas. While at Lucas we had a line of furniture called LUMA. I made all the cutsheets and helped design a few tables in the collection. At one point David Sutherland reached out and asked us to make a few collections for Sutherland. Below are the rendered images from one of the collection presentations. This shows the type of renderings I did for all of the projects we worked on. It also shows the collection I helped to design. One of the pieces made its way into Restoration Hardware and is still selling there.
