Currently responsible for managing all Active Directory Domains for the University. Current domain levels are 2016 and I am currently in the process of updating all domain controllers to 2019. Responsible for group policy both on domain controllers and windows servers. I also manage our MIM server infrastructure and the AAD Connect environment to Azure. Have performed AAD Connect migrations between domains and updated AAD Connect from different server versions. Have a large powershell backgroud. Currently support 24 domain controllers with them both on-premise and in Azure. Support our windows DNS environment and our APGM environment. Provide support to windows administrators as needed. All of our domain controllers run under VMWare.

Active Directory Services:My job was to provide Active Directory operations and services for the banks Microsoft windows infrastructure consisting of Windows 2003 and 2008 servers.. This infrastructure covered multiple forests and domains with over 200,000 users and 400+ domain controllers both national and international. Provided DNS and WINS support, Sites and Services support, monthly patching and anti-virus updates. I worked with business units to supply GPO settings and or security for applications such as Microsoft Exchange, IIS and SharePoint servers. I also provided business units with OU (Organizational Unit) design and access control. Also worked with business units to test LDAP applications with Active Directory. Our group also managed privileged access for users and groups to the directory for authentication. We also provided user login and password troubleshooting. Provided Active Directory object backup and restores as necessary. Tested and implemented Windows 2008 R2 for Windows 2008 R2 domain controller deployment. Provided as needed day to day activities related to Active Directory.

Active Directory Migrations:Most of my duties were with Active Directory migrations for mergers and acquisitions. I planned and implemented the migration from Active Directory 2000 to the new Active Directory 2003 domain. Migrations included desktops and servers. We performed a migration of over 1000 NT 4 and Windows 2000 servers along with approximately 70,000 desktops. I also performed a migration of our Novell network servers and users to the new 2003 Active Directory. This was approximately 50+ Novell servers and 3000+ users.

I worked on the hardware evaluation team for Windows 2000. Testing Server, Advanced Server and Workstation. I was involved with the Active Directory implementation team for Windows 2000. I managed the server consolidation project working with the Hewlett Packard Integration Center to build and install 90 Novell 4.11 file servers for a year 2000 project. I implemented a large server consolidation project involving 14 information services Novell file servers and 3000+ users. The new consolidated environment was; 2 Novell servers connected to the OS/390 mainframe via IBM's channel attached Escon card utilizing the mainframe DASD for file server storage. I also completed the implementation of 4 Novell servers consolidating 30 Novell servers for the acquisitions of Jefferson and Central Fidelity banks for approximately 3500 users. I managed various components for year 2000 project's to roll out 17000 NT workstations and many NT servers. Also worked with the Novell team to consolidate and update all NetWare servers from 3.x to our 4.x structure. I also implemented a new NT server backup solution running Arcserve to backup multiple NetWare and NT servers together to one large tape library at our remote sites via dedicated TCP/IP Fast Ethernet backbones.

Network Design and Implementation for the corporate headquarters. Managed 600+ users and the Novell servers for the corporate headquarters. Also managed 800+ Novell servers distributed to all the nursing homes for Beverly Enterprises and there corporate network. Was the project leader and manager for 20 programmers writing business office and patient records systems for the nursing homes. Applications included business office admissions, payables, receivables, physicians orders and many other applications that ran on the IBM S/36 and AS/400 platforms.

Managed the S/36 & AS/400 application design team.Implemented a warehouse purchase ordering system and inventory control system for use by the nursing facilities to order supplies. Wrote and maintained over 1000 RPG II & RPG III programs. Successfully installed over 900 S/36 computers in the Beverly nursing facilities. Successfully implemented remote dial up communications between the IBM 3081 mainframe and the S/36's using DSX and DSNX. Managed 20+ programmers and analyst developing the core business office and nursing applications. Designed and managed the development for the application splitting programs handling uploads and downloads for data between the S/36's and Mainframe. Provided technical support to the AS/400 design team on program design and communications between the AS/400's and IBM 3081 mainframe using DSX and DSNX. Managed security for the AS/400 programmers and all end users for corporate systems. Controlled purchasing of computers and software for corporate users. Developed and tested migrations from the S/36 to the AS/400 platform.
