I lead a team that builds and maintains the online home of the Kroger Design System (KDS) - currently built with Gatsby, but collaborating with designers and stakeholders to develop the next experience based on NextJS.

I started a design and web development agency, consulting for small businesses as well as the Kroger Company. Along the way, I was able to learn the ropes when it comes to starting a business from scratch and navigating the various challenges that come with the territory.

In this role, I created an extension to Adobe Illustrator to automatically check for common errors in product design files. It also automated repetitive tasks that designers previously had to do manually. It provided a validation step for designs before they moved farther down the product development workflow.

During my time at a digital advertising agency I wore many hats as Account Manager, Art Director, Photographer, Editor, Advertising Analyst, and Social Media Director. This allowed me to hone my skills dealing with clients, planning projects, and working under tight deadlines.
