10XD is the joint venture of two Israeli designers, Dov Rattan and Ram bar-Zev. 10XDpromotes and markets select Israeli designer products to international markets.GeneralIsrael has experienced huge growth in recent years in the quantity of design activities,manifesting primarily in a significant increase in design makers in various product areas, andshowing a dramatic rise in the quality of innovation and products. Galleries and stores haveopened based on Israeli design and an increasing number of design college graduates arebecoming producers. Simply put, the field is buzzing more than ever, and the results areoutstanding.Despite these developments, the Israeli marketplace itself has remained small and relativelylimited to premium design products. The market’s size prevents and inhibits local makers’development. An evident need exists for makers to gear towards international markets suchas Europe, USA and Asia.Breaking into international markets requires knowledge and experience in areas which arenot the individual maker’s fields of expertise, as well as investment in logistic, financial andmarketing resources which makers generally do not hold, creating a critical obstacle for mostdesigners.10XD aims to expand Israeli export in the various areas of design by establishing a logisticsand marketing platform which will help reduce costs for the individual maker relative tointernational marketing activities. Centralizing these activities through a professionalmanagement team allows accessing significant savings in costs for the individual designer.
