The worst thing I could ever do is end up being like everyone else. Any job that allows me to be creative is one in which I can excel. I thrive when I’m outside of my comfort zone, and I eagerly embrace any opportunity to be in front of a crowd. I currently work in the area of finance, where I’ve been since I graduated from West Virginia University in 2013. Now, I understand your first thought may be that finance doesn’t offer a lot of opportunity for creativity, but I’ve been fortunate enough to have opportunities to mold my job description in ways that complement my strengths. In my current role as a financial analyst, I was able to identify and implement several process improvements which eliminated work redundancy and increased productivity by as much as a factor of six.In addition to my career, I also have an unquenchable passion for entrepreneurship. My latest venture is a part time ecommerce business which operates by the manner of online and retail arbitrage. I started this venture in July of 2016. In just a short amount of time, I have already been able to grow this business to where I’m projecting sales in 2017 to be in excess of $20k. My favorite part of being an entrepreneur is the ability to cut out busy work and focus on the tasks that will generate the most benefit to my bottom line with the least amount of time spent. Eliminating busy work is crucial in maxing the efficiency of a business, department, or even yourself.The other thing you should know about me is I believe that work should be fun!
