As the Area Manager for the Atlantic Area I am responsible for all facets of the business from sales and estimating to financial performance, operations (product install, crew utilization and equipment usage), project management through and to project close out, including cash collection. The territory; I am responsible for approximately 100 employees, including field and office personnel. These employees include the estimating department, field engineers, project managers, administration, sales and field operations personnel.The business unit produced between $40 and $50 Million of revenue per year with sales growth commensurate with the goals of the Company. Profit levels fluctuated based upon the year and the office. However, the area developed from an area that was losing money prior to my becoming responsible for it to becoming profitable after I was responsible for it.General responsibilities also include estimating of new projects, ensuring the estimates will provide sufficient opportunity to meet or exceed our business unit plan, involving sales with the areas of need, ensuring the Project Management group manages projects to the estimate and to meet our plan, working with operations to ensure the work is completed within the estimated time, invoicing the project and collections. Developing, monitoring and improving the processes involved with the project management process is also a key factor in the improvement of the business.Such systems include the interaction and understanding of the estimate, the transfer of data from the estimate to the operations department and the tracking of performance versus estimate. Post mortem reviews of selected project performance versus estimate resulted in modifications and improvements to the system.

Responsible for the Project Manager located in the MA office, as well as all operations, sales, estimating and admin of the area. This role included all of the responsibilities of the project manager and additional management of the local Project Manager.

This was a combined role that was responsible for sales and management of the projects. In addition to finding the lead, this position included the development of pricing, estimating, completing technical submittals, providing schedules, managing subcontractors and managing the project through to completion, including invoicing and collecting money.

Responsible for sales in the New England area. This included working closely with consulting engineers, municipalities and industrial facilities. Assisted with specification preparation, bid preparation, technical support, problem solving and identifying the need for our product.

Responsible for providing cost effective electric, electro-mechanical and mechanical solutions to the Nuclear Power Industry.
