As a finance and operations professional, I spent the majority of my career as Vice President of Finance in the for-profit education industry. Throughout my career, I served as an integral member of the budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, change management, and operational analysis committees as a respected and principal advisor on issues affecting loss projection, reserve analytics, and change management. Proud of the positive impacts I made in developing and promoting people, collaborating across cross-functional areas, streamlining processes and procedures, I consistently provided steady, direct leadership guiding my departments through changing and volatile markets, inclusive of periods of hyper-growth and significant downturns.Earning a CPA post-college, my career began in public accounting, however, after a few years at a private firm I realized I was ready to branch out. I joined Argosy Education Group where I experienced upward career progression as a result of my dedication, diligence, and strong work ethic. Most significantly, I took the company from private to launching an IPO. After a few years, I took the role of Vice President of Finance and Operations at Career Education Corporation for a short stint, before rejoining the team at Argosy Education, which was acquired by Education Management Corporation Inc. I spent more than 15 years as Vice President of Finance positively impacting the entire organization. A quick-learning collaborative leader with strong financial and business acumen, I prioritize ethics and compliance while proactively approaching issues methodically and strategically, I possess the foundation for continued career success in a finance or operational role.
