I am a registered nurse with three years experience, previously in the emergency department and currently in labor and delivery. Utilizing safe, compassionate, quality nursing care, and inspired by my dad’s long battle with cancer, I aimed to bring a sense of comfort and understanding to patients and their families as they attempted to navigate the often intimidating experience of emergency care and hospitalizations. Now as an L&D RN I use that same focus toward the goal of facilitating a positive birthing experience that most closely reflects parents’ plans and wishes for one of life’s biggest changes. In labor and delivery, just as in the emergency department, I am always ready for the unexpected acute and critical changes to patient status that can occur.In the coming years I plan to continue my growth and development as a nurse.
