As Team… Show more As part of the Portfolio Management Division of the IDB Invest, I was the Team Leader of several complex infrastructures (mainly transport and energy) and corporate deals (water) located in the Latin America and the Caribbean countries, representing roughly USD 1bn of direct and indirect exposure (including B-Lenders). My main responsibilities included the supervision of these projects, the preparation of periodic supervision reports, and the negotiation of waivers and amendments. As Team Leader I was in charge of, coordinating internally with several departments (Legal, Risk, Environmental,…), of supervising for each project the relations with external lawyers and others consultants and I was also responsible for maintaining the commercial relationship directly with the borrowers and their sponsors, and also with co-lenders and Bank's B-lenders. Finally, I continuously provided support to the Investment Team during the origination by proving inputs during in the elaboration of term-sheets (mainly related to the later supervision of the deals) and by reviewing the legal documentation before closing. Integrated in the middle office division which is in charge of monitoring the structured portfolio co distributed between project finance, corporate and off-budget transaction. Within the team I am responsible for the supervision of project finance deals, mainly in renewable energy, transport, infrastructures & PPP, and distressed assets.

As part of the risk department team of Dexia Sabadell, I was in charge of credit risk analysis of project, corporate and public finance operations from both Spain and Portugal. My primary task was to assess and to prepare risk notes for new financing transaction in order to present them to a credit risk committee. My tasks extended also to the annual risk review of the portfolio and the elaboration of internal rating to corporates and public entities.

Working directly with the Country Manager, my primary function was to assist him in the origination of project finance deals through the preparation of Term-sheets, commercial presentation and the preparation of meetings. I was also involved in the development of the public finance activity with the preparation of internal reports, market research and preparation of commercial offers.
