I started with a month with the prince’s trust being trained by m & s to do different tasks, including shop standards, stock organisation and transport, I learned people skills such as communication and teamwork. I learned thinking skills such as problem solving, adaptability, innovation, planning and organisation. I was taught to keep a positive attitude, have personal responsibility, persistence and motivation and self-confidence. Then during the following month, I was taught money handling, till usage and covid tracking. I was tasked with greeting customers at the door on many days which improved my self-confidence and customer attentiveness and empathy.

At Wednesday lunchtimes every week I was tasked with supervising and ensuring the safety of younger pupils, usually around 120 pupils, while also reinforcing orderly behaviour and taking care of any incidents that took place. Other tasks involved reporting any misbehaving pupils to teachers and calling for assistance if the problem was too large for me and my partner to deal with or if any violent behaviour occurred.
