Atlas Stream Processing

Engineer on the team responsible for metrics & alerting at Lyft. Designed, implemented, and operated high performance systems in Go and Rust.- Developed a novel system to reduce metrics pipeline costs through various techniques such as discarding unused data. Integrated the system into Lyft's metrics pipeline, saving over 50% in spend on our in-house metrics system (millions/year). Led a team to commercialize the product. Drove the first external customer from contract signing to full integration of the product, saving them multiple millions per year on metrics spend, and generating millions of dollars in revenue for Lyft. Developed proof of concepts and gave presentations to potential external clients.- Built in-house monitoring system to detect and alert on issues across all services at Lyft. Led a team of three to build out the back-end and front-end, with performant data visualization built on visx. Helped drive a year-long migration to the new alerting system and query language, which unblocked Lyft-wide deprecation of an observability vendor, saving >$10 million annually.

Worked on a collaborative rich text editing canvas, now the technology behind a new Office product called Microsoft Loop.
