I create custom web apps in support of business and administrative activities within the College of Letters and Science. I also create apps for online usability testing.

Duties include writing custom scripts and programs (including XML, PHP, C, Active Server Pages and SQL) to support instructional, research, assessment, and administrative activities, coordinating and designing web pages and consulting with course designers on the use of technology to achieve course objectives.

Developed experimental procedures for the measurement of physical and mechanical properties of materials, characterized failure surfaces, damage mechanisms and material morphology using techniques such as metallography, optical and scanning electron microscopy and analyzed relationships between micro-scale and continuum scale material properties. These experimental observations were supplemented with computational methods, such as finite element analysis, as a means of integrating Materials Science with Solid Mechanics and Thermodynamics in the development, analysis and application of nonlinear constitutive relations, fracture theory and material damage models. Prepared manuscripts documenting research for publication in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings.

Responsible for the experimental investigation and analysis of aqueous corrosion fatigue of Cu-Ni alloys, effect of hydrogen on mechanical properties of copper and its alloys, role of pH on the corrosion of Cu-Ni alloys, effect of hydrogen, temperature and microstructure on the impact behavior of a Mn-Al stainless steel.
