At Tanium, my primary role was taking on complex projects that had far-reaching impact across the organization. My role as Senior UX Designer at SHI is to be the voice of our users and provide essential guidance for all things design on SHI.com. My extensive skillset allows me to solve any challenge for our business, our users, and our dev team. Being a full-stack designer means I handle all sorts of tasks, whether that be competitive research to inform our designs, creating wireframes/mockups/prototypes, or helping write HTML/CSS/JavaScript. I work closely with our front and back-end developers to ensure our designs are thoughtfully executed and address all our stakeholder's needs.

The University of Texas at Austin is undergoing an enormous project to modernize the university's administrative systems. My role was to conduct focus groups and user interviews with faculty, staff, and researchers on campus to identify requirements for the new portal for these users. During my 3 months at UT I interviewed and conducted focus groups with over 130 faculty and staff across campus. I created a functional prototype using HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and jQuery that I designed and tested while continually gathering feedback from the university community.

While working with the CSAL group in the Institute for Intelligent Systems, I took on a variety of roles within the project: • User Experience/Usability Tester - conducted user intereviews and focus groups with users from our target population • Systems analysis and requirements gathering for content development • User Interface/Web Designer - used Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Javascript, & jQuery to create, animate, and optimize different types of interactive media for CSAL lessons

On the Guru project I took on two primary roles: • 3D Modeler/Animator - created the virtual agent in the Guru Intelligent Tutoring System; built a low-cost motion capture system to record motion capture animations; used 3D Studio Max and other applications to animate the motions of our virtual agent • Research Assistant - collected, managed, and analyzed data, ran research participants, collected and analyzed eye tracking data
