Training Supervisor
Lancaster, Pennsylvania Area
As the office trainer for incoming caseworkers, I led groups through the 6-month intensive training process on policy and procedure pertaining to public benefit administration. I developed and implemented a standard training curriculum, which was delivered on a topical basis with groups of 6-12 caseworkers, and also trained in smaller groups and one-on-one settings. I consistently revised my material and methods to meet the varied needs of trainees. The training involved technical definitions, rules, terminology, and writing. My role was to ensure that caseworkers understood governing policies and were able to successfully apply these for accurate benefit determinations. This training position required the flexibility to recognize what things someone understood, and devising training strategies and organizational techniques to close the gap for those things which were not well understood. I thrived in my ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms so that anyone could understand, regardless of experience level.FUNCTIONS:- Develop training curriculum- Conduct individual and group training sessions- Analyze and evaluate employee performance- Talent development- Personnel management
