I used to teach full-time , 75 curious and inquisitive minds,in a low income private school in Pannipura Karwan. I taught Social Studies and English to the 9th and 10th Graders . This was not only a wonderful and eye opening look at the education sector in India , but also a glimpse of the dreams aspirations and the resolve some of these children had in changing their circumstance. The joy the laughter,the innocent questions about life were learning which I never ever had in the corporate world. Besides the syllabus , i believe i gave them a sense of possibility and what can be achieved . A sense of wonder at the what the world has to offer . The two years working with the community of children , the children and wrestling with the new normal of getting technology to the last child in my class , to teaching through zoom , has shown me what is possible if one persists and if one has organizations like Tecah for India , what is possible .
