Designed sand filtration system capable of handling 23.5 kPa of pressure coming from a ferrocement tank made to hold 60,000 litres of water following revisions to original design to go beyond the bare minimum of international water quality standards, in response to results of in situ water quality testing conducted in Spring 2021. Coordinated with Professors at Cadi Ayyad University to perform water testing and maintenance remotely and established a long-term collaboration between our two groups with the end goal of publishing research together. Responsible for teaching new members about the history of our project as well as both water quality data analysis and the principles of water filtration and system management. Designed and led experimentation with the goal of understanding the relationship between sand grain size distribution and the flow rate of water in a slow sand filter, something poorly understood in the current academic literature.
