Responsibilities- Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Global Bus Chassis Sales, overall strategic, sales and service, operational, financial and staffing responsibility for the bus vehicle business in Asia Pacific Region including markets of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.- Led the strategy, financial forecasting and reporting, inventory planning, customer satisfaction, technical service in all markets- Led involvement with Government lobbying, tendering and corporate affairsAchievements- Delivered gross sales of up to AUD$400 million and operating income of > AUD$25 Million consistently every year for the last 12 years and over the business cycle- Managed staff of 70 people across 4 regional offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Brisbane and Bangkok, consistently scoring best in class employee engagement score (>85%) in Volvo’s internal Employee Engagement Survey.- Appointed new distributors in the Philippines, South Korea and Thailand from 2015 to 2019 promoting increased unit sales (200-300 per annum) and incremental profit for the business.- Established localised assembly sites in Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand, to allow the Company to meet local content and trade agreement requirements to sell product in these markets.- Launched the first European zero emission electric bus technology in Australia and Singapore during 2022, including the implementation of new business models related to product leasing, energy commitment (battery contracts), battery reuse and recycling and related policies. - Presented at the Australasia Zero Emission Forum run by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP). UITP is internationally recognised for its work to advance the development of critical policy agenda in global public transport systems.

Market share during the same period grew from 20% to over 40% and a position of industry leadership. - Achieved market leadership in Australia in 2010 which has been maintained for the last 13 years.- Grew team of 9 to 15 to respond to growth in business, structuring organizing in response to industry needs into the areas of strategic planning, contract management, technical service/support, new vehicle sales, and after sales and forecast management. During this period maintained exception employee engagement scores based on internal surveys.- Won multiple tenders and contracts with government operators including the State Transit Authority of New South Wales, Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, Brisbane City Council and various private operators.- Awarded NSW & National Supplier of the Year (2010).
