As a Chartered Electrical Engineer, David has held a number of senior positions within various industries including semiconductor fabs/hybrid houses, smelting and power station plants, the contract electronic industry, the rail industry and pharmaceuticals. He is an active member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, where he sat on the Asset Management Executive Committee and the Management Advisory Panel from 2006-2009 and is a registered Mentor. He was elected to Professional Registration Advisor, (PRA), for CEng registration candidates. He is also a registered Faraday Engineer. He is progressive in his approach to all things engineering.He manages graduates in industry and uses his in-depth knowledge of UK-SPEC and the professional registration process to coach postgraduates in their pursuit of Chartership. He is a registered STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Ambassador through The University of Glasgow.He is a mentor with the Royal Academy of Engineering, (Brightlinks)He co-manages the CEng Linkedin group.Specialties: Design for Reliability strategy, life data analysis and recurrent data analysis. Failure analysis in electronics, (physics of failure) and design analysis using traditional methods and contemporary methods.
