I am responsible for strategizing, planning and overseeing the execution of LWR’s interactive (social media, web, & digital video) marketing and communications. These holistically support identification, engagement, stewardship and renewal of LWR donors: individuals, congregations, church bodies, foundations, governments, and corporations. These also promote Lutheran World Relief’s brand, and develop a substantive, responsive presence online. • LWR’s social media presence engages key audiences and promotes LWR. Social employees build relationships with current and potential donors, peers, and key influencers; help build LWR’s brand; and contribute to the knowledge base of their respective fields.• LWR’s web strategy ensures that users can find quality content that demonstrates WHY and HOW people can get involved with LWR; the information architecture and design makes it easy for people to find the information they need; and usability and functionality makes it easy and appealing to get involved with LWR.• LWR’s digital video strategy creates high-quality videos that inform, inspire and engage both internal (staff) and external (donors, potential donors, peers and partners) audiences about a variety of topics.I am also responsible for providing leadership to the External Relations department for measurement and accountability, helping lead quality analysis of the department’s work.

Managed all online, interactive communications and marketing. Led LWR's social media, web content strategy, and online advertising. Focus on audience-centered engagement, clear & compelling communication, & measurement and analysis of progress that propel us toward our goals. Regularly speak to congregations about LWR's work and mission of sustainable development. Travel internationally to lead communications about emergency relief, telling stories through written word, photo and video.

Oversee and manage LWR's social media presence, engaging U.S. Lutheran audiences in the work and mission of LWR. Editor and primary writer for LWR's Blog. Offer high level of meaningful engagement across social media platforms, and aligned social media strategy with larger marketing & external relations strategies.

Called by Spirit of Christ Lutheran to explore new models of ministry. I started a weekly community gathering in my apartment that included people of varying backgrounds who could gather together and discuss "big" questions about life together, humanity and divinity. Lutherans, Catholics, Athiests, agnostics, and label-less were able to come together in a safe space and find common cause in community.

Helped faculty develop skills and experience in learning design. Focused on backwards design for learning, online engagement, web design best practices and evaluation.
