The departmental expert on public consultations. Provides strategic and tactical support to senior management, the Mayor’s Office and Council Members for the delivery of and in support of the Planning, Infrastructure & Economic Development Department’s work program. Responsible for planning, organizing and delivering effective public consultations to enhance the quality of decisions on a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Responsible for researching, planning and delivering public education and communication campaigns on specific initiatives.

Responsible for development and implementation of comprehensive public education, awareness and corporate communications initiatives. Works directly with the Mayor's Office, City Council and Standing Committee's to establish and execute a variety of different events.

Responsible for providing a wide variety of complex and confidential tasks in support of the Human Resources branches, and providing other employee services as appropriate. Duties and responsibilities include conducting research and compiling documentation and data in support of branch projects or departmental inquiries, generating and making revisions to reports, creating and updating databases and project files, and for coordinating the administrative aspects of human resources policy and procedures. Furthermore, serving as a point of contact for client departments, providing an initial response to standard inquiries and directing non-standard inquiries as appropriate.

Coordinates, plans and runs social programs for a diverse group of clients to meet desired program goals. Performed community outreach and maintained substantive relationships with community members to enhance programs experience. Performed interviews, job reviews and assessments, managing teams of up to fifteen staff, to ensure the success and functioning of programs.

Responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants through coordinated programs. Provide educational and recreational experiences for participants that focus on core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Aid in fostering an environment in which clients feel safe and build lasting relationships with in their communities.

Upon establishing meaningful relationships and rapports with City of Ottawa clients and caretakers, private work was continued to aid in developing an array of life skills to individuals with disabilities.

Took part in oversight and implementation of a three-day event with over six thousand attendees and forty event showcases. Coordinated and managed staffing. Promoted and raised awareness about event through speaking with city councillors, managers, media, principals, guidance councillors and the public.

Provided private sessions for undergraduate political science students in need of assistance. Built personal plans with students directed to meet desired academic goals. Developed unique methods of teaching specific course material leading to clear academic improvement in individuals taught.

Coach, leader and role model for teams of pre-schoolers to young adults in soccer; responsible for planning, organizing, and running weekly practices and activities. Built strong relationships and subsequently began to run private training sessions with many coached.
