Achievements:• Designed, fabricated and tested a laboratory scale prototype of dual geothermal system for fresh water production and power generation (75kW thermal input with about 3kW mechanical output along with about 2 m³ of fresh water per day)• Liaised with the industry partners, project leader, chief investigators, postgraduate students and technical officers of the dual geothermal system for fresh water production and power generation project.• I have done course coordination, delivered lectures and tutorials and supervised laboratories for independent as well as multi-section courses at Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate level with high student satisfaction. Some of these courses are Mechanical Design, Thermo-Fluid Mechanics, Applied Heat and Mass transfer, Renewable Energy Systems, and Remote Area Power Supply. I have excellent track record in teaching undergraduate course with high student satisfaction. For instance most recently I have achieved a GTS of 79% for coordinating and teaching Thermo-Fluid Mechanics 1 course with more than 230 student enrolment. • Over last 3 years I have been associate supervisor for 4 PhD students. One of these students will very soon submit the PhD thesis for examination. • I have developed strong collaborative relationships with industry and local governments while attending conferences, exhibitions, community seminars etc. Some of the examples are links with MWH Global, JAVAC Ltd., Heavy engineering research association in New Zealand, Vistoval Consulting, Lyfpod. • I have prepared 4 ARC linkage applications, 1 NPRP Qatar grant application, 2 industry research funding applications and most recently I have prepared an ARC DECRA for funding commencing in 2014.• Last year one of the Industry research funding was approved and I was awarded $24,000 to develop theoretical model and investigate thermal behavior of an industrial process
