Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Energy and Environment, NIT Trichy. I did one and a half years of postdoc research in the mechanical engineering department at IIT Bombay. I worked in the versatile field of heat transfer and fluid mechanics, focusing on developing a non-intrusive technique for simultaneous measurement of the flow field and temperature distribution of the synthetic jet cooling of the heated plate. I am using a combination of advanced techniques, i.e., particle image velocimetry (PIV) and laser-induced phosphorescence thermometry, to measure the distribution. I aim to understand the underlying physics of temperature distribution and its effects on the flow field for such turbulent cooling phenomena. In the past, I have completed my PhD from the oldest institute in Asia in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, IIT Roorkee. There overall, I have worked on the synthesis, characterization and application of magnetic nanofluids. My thesis mainly focuses on understanding the underlying physics behind the heat transfer characteristics of buoyancy-driven flow in an open cavity containing water-based fluids. Besides the thesis work, I have done the stability analysis of the nanofluids for the general application of the nanofluids. Simultaneously, I have gained experience in teaching and training undergraduate and postgraduate students in coursework lab experiments. I have actively worked with postgraduate student research work based on cooling and dehumidification using vortex tube along with my PhD research work in the initial phase of my doctorate. My postgraduation is in Thermal Engineering from the IIT Roorkee. During my postgraduation, I worked on the effect of nanoparticle concentration on heat transfer and pressure drop for a pipe flow. I learned and experienced the joy of doing research innovatively and sustainably there. I have completed my Mechanical Engineering engineering from the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam university. I have published my research work in the most reputed journals (Physics of fluids, Applied Thermal Engineering, Heat and Mass Transfer) and presented my work at various international conferences. I have good exposure to 3D software such as Solidworks, and Simulation software such as Ansys, and MATLAB. In addition to this, I also have good knowledge and experience in handling highly sensitive test equipment.
