Dr. Ajay Srivastava has more than 23 years of experience of University level engineering & management education and one year of industry experience. He has held many key portfolios at UPES, Associate Head Mechanical from 2013-2015, Program Director-PG (2015 to 2018) and presently working as head of department Mechanical Engineering (since 2018). As Program Director-PG, he rationalized many PG (M.Tech) programs, made them more consistent, efficient and market ready. He believes in outcome-based education (OBE) and puts efforts in preparation of future engineers for being lifelong learners who embraces emerging skill to adapt to changing ecosystems. As head, His efforts and teamwork brought NBA accreditation in Automotive Design Engineering (ADE) Program and the other two programs of the department in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering are awaiting their final visit of the peer team for accreditation. He has also ably led the team preparing for the NAAC site visit and departmental presentations. He has been part of Acad Council, IQAC and accreditation processes in the university be it NBA, NAAC, QS and NIRF.Dr. Ajay Srivastava has published more than 65 SCI/SCOPUS international journal/conference papers in different areas of engine and emission (DOC, DPF, and composite regeneration) and VARTM process modeling. He has published 10 patent in different areas guided 03 Engineering PhDs and presently 07 Engineering PhD students are working under him towards their PhDs. More than a dozen students have completed their M.Tech thesis under him. Delivered many Keynote lectures at national and international forums viz.GE Bangalore, ACECOST-III at R&DE Pune, at FDPs on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and technological overviews and disruptions guided many international internships, webinars and counselling session for the new aspirant of engineering and management. A critical thinker, and a staunch believer of “blue ocean strategies” for any turnaround be it academics or a production firm. He has been an integral part of the NPD team. Many new programs has been initiated and worked upon by him. Dr. Ajay Srivastava Believes that biggest strength of a person comes from the people with whom you work.
