-Plan, control and manage the special education program for the largest school district in Connecticut, serving close to 20,000 students-Direct all aspects of the Social Emotional Learning and Comprehensive Health Programs for the district, which include mental/behavioral health, health and wellness, school health services, PBIS, guidance and social work programs etc.-Manage all aspects of the $102 million budget for Special Education services, which include but are not limited to staffing, professional development, curriculum alignment, evaluation for continuous departmental and school improvement-Provide leadership and guidance for all student affairs in order to support an equitable educational experience for all students

-Assist the principal in the administration and supervision of the school and its instructional program, in the screening and selection of staff and in promoting the educational growth of each student, which has resulted in improved school climate, more rigorous academics, reduction of the number of suspensions and detentions and hiring more qualified staff-Assist the principal in all aspects of the supervision and evaluation process of all school personnel, including the understanding and teaching of curriculum, the Common Core State Standards, helping staff use curriculum resources and helping teachers understand the new System for Educator Evaluation and Development (SEED), which has led to increased teacher support and performance, and a more rigorous academic program for students-Spearhead the School Climate Committee, which has had a dramatic and measurable impact of improved school climate for students and staff-Supervise the school’s Special Education department and chair Planning and Placement Team meetings, which has resulted in less errors to students’ Individualized Education Programs and more accountability for student achievement-Worked collaboratively with the International Baccalaureate (IB) coordinator, through a vigorous four year role out plan, that included ongoing PD and training for staff, which has now made WMS the only Greenwich Public Middle School to become an authorized IB World School -Supervise the RTI/SRBI committee, School Wellness Committee, 8th Grade Team and Student Improvement Team-Title IX Coordinator and School Climate Specialist

-Directed the Center for Applied Science and Technology (CAST), explored and pursued grants and program partnerships, and mobilized twenty-three staff to set and achieve academy goals for the three hundred students they served-Collaboratively worked with the school’s Data Inquiry Team and the Child Study Team to monitor student performance and use data to identify at-risk students and design interventions to better enable them to succeed, which resulted in a dramatic improvement in our school’s quality review and progress reports, which led us to being ranked among the top schools in the City-Supervised the instruction of science, math, and special education in the school-Collaboratively coordinated and facilitated the implementation of city and state testing, in addition to the Honoring Performance (HOPE) program, which financially rewarded students based on assessments they took-Supervised the summer school program, which provided intensive academic intervention to one hundred and fifty failing students from four different schools

-Under direction of the Local Instructional Superintendent, coordinated with Regional Administrator for Special Education, Committee on Special Education Chairperson and principals to ensure quality special education instruction and improved instructional outcomes for students with disabilities-Supervised the instruction of special education in twelve schools-Planned and conducted professional development for teachers on best practices in education in order to help improve the quality of their instruction-Collaboratively designed and implemented trainings and workshops for principals and assistant principals to help improve school-wide performance-Participated in the selection and implementation of techniques and materials for adapting and modifying curricula for students with disabilities
