About Dr. Andreas Worberg

Bridging the gap in the bio-based economy - In workflows, technologies, and minds.My privileged (unorthodox) journey so far has made me a bridge between different worlds and players in the biomanufacturing value chain. My passion is to translate between sciences and academia with industries and entrepreneurship - enabling innovation, creativity and commercialization. I am a Naturalist, Consultant, Manager, Business Developer, Biotechnologist, Process Engineer, and Botanist with almost 20 years of cross-functional experience in international projects for the design, engineering, and process development in biomanufacturing. I scaled dozens of projects and products from TRL2 up to 8. Ambitious and determined with a never-ending passion and enthusiasm for the bio-based economy I embrace teaching, communication and impact. Firm grounding in engineering disciplines, economy, and leadership with an emphasis on intercultural and interdisciplinary tasks.Following Robert Frosts poem „The road not taken“ (1916) inspired to take the least trotten road - heck - I went straight into the bushes. My credo „Faber est suae quisque fortunae.“ - Everyone is the engineer of your own fortune.
